Effective October 1, 2008, Dr. Michael Herbermann (48) will succeed Paul Broekhuijsen as
President of GEA Refrigeration and CEO of Grasso’s Koninklijke Machinefabrieken NV,
’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.

 
Michael Herbermann joined the GEA Thermal Engineering Division in October 2000 as Managing Director
of GEA Energietechnik GmbH and has subsequently taken over various additional Management Positions. After the integration of the Business Units Power East and West he became worldwide responsible for the Power Cooling business.

 
Paul Broekhuijsen joined GEA Refrigeration in January 1999 and was nominated as President and
CEO in 2000. As of October 1, 2008, he will join the Executive Board of TBI Holdings B.V.,
headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
